Letter from our Pastor

Welcome!  Whether you are a visitor to the Clearwater area, a new resident, one of our beloved winter residents, or one of the many who delight in calling Clearwater home all year long, we welcome you to First United Methodist Church in downtown Clearwater.

This year we celebrate our 149th year of ministry.  Yet, each day is a new day to share God’s love and to invite new people to join us in fulfilling our calling to love others as Jesus has loved us.

We have just completed renovations to our facilities.  We invite you to come see our beautiful; church and join us for one of our inspiring worship services.   We hope you will take note of the various opportunities we offer for worship, education and service.

First United Methodist church is a mult-generational congregation with a great deal of theological diversity.  We believe in living out the United Methodist slogan, “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors.”

On Sunday mornings, you will find someone waiting to welcome you, help you find your way around, and answer any questions you might have.  We’d love to have the opportunity to share in worship with you.
