The CrossWind Praise Team
Composed of singers, keyboard players, guitar players and drums, the praise team provides exciting music for the 9:15 am CrossWind Praise and Worship Service. Audition is required.  

The Praise Choir
Here is your opportunity to rock out with the CrossWind Praise Team.  The Praise Choir sings along with the Praise Team and helps encourage the congregation to sing along.

The Tower Ringers
The Tower Ringers thrill the congregation by performing exciting handbell music about once per month at the 11:00 am worship service.  This advanced handbell ensemble requires the ability to read musical rhythms.  

The Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is a fantastic choir open to anyone who likes to sing. The choir provides musical leadership for the 11:00 am traditional worship service, performing inspiring, high-quality church music.  Special seasonal performances are presented with strings or brass.  The choir enjoys social events together throughout the year.

The Lord’s Little Ones (ages 4-6)
The Alleluia Choir (grades 1 and 2)
The Rejoice Choir and Joy Ringers (grades 3-5)
These children’s choirs foster a love of singing in the church, using age-appropriate sacred music.  They sing in worship throughout the year and also perform a Christmas concert and a spring musical. The children’s handbell choir, known as “The Joy Ringers,” is open to children who sing in the Rejoice Choir.

Youth Music
We are beginning to form a youth praise band.  Singers, guitar players, keyboard players and drummers are needed.  Rehearsal times are flexible.

Instrumentalists, accompanists and vocal soloists are also encouraged to share their talents.  There are many opportunities during the week and on Sundays.

Contemporary Drama
We have an exciting and growing drama team that performs at both contemporary and traditional worship services.  These actors perform short skits throughout the year and longer dramas for Christmas and Easter.

Audio/Video/Computer Operators
Training is offered to persons who would like to be sound board operators, computer operators, videographers and photographers of worship services and other church performances.  

The purpose and goal of the music ministry at First United Methodist Church is to bring glory to God by means of excellence and artistry in music.  The musical selections that we offer contribute to worship by helping to proclaim the scripture, theme and message of the day.  First Church is committed to having a comprehensive and varied music program that includes classical and contemporary music.  It is our aim that music will be not only an instrument of praise, but also a personal experience of enrichment and joy.
